SHALINI GANENDRA FINE ART was founded by Ms. Ganendra in 1998 with the opening of a flagship gallery, The Private Gallery, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In 2007, Ms. Ganendra established a presence in London.

The Gallery specialises in Asian contemporary art, with particular emphasis on the work of artists from Malaysia and Sri Lanka. Drawing upon broad expertise in the fine arts, the Gallery offers a full range of services to clients.

Ms. Ganendra is experienced at advising arts organizations and individual collectors in building, maintaining, and appraising important museum quality collections. She works closely with clients to formulate thoughtful strategies for disposition of entire collections or single works of art. Her expertise further extends to representing clients at auction, in the salesrooms and in private treaty sales. She has additional experience curating exhibitions from concept to execution, including publication of accompanying scholarly catalogues.

Ms. Ganendra believes that to be a truly successful and enduring presence in the history of art, no contemporary art movement can exist in geographical isolation and an artist must find a place in the global arena of collecting, criticism and commerce. A key to building a credible collection is an informed appraisal of the potential purchase and the aesthetic quality of the artwork is paramount. Accordingly, the Gallery is committed to the concept of aesthetic investment and representing works that reflect this philosophy.

Buy what you like and the best that you can afford.
