TRINA TYGRETT (b. 1974 USA / Venice, Italy)
Trina Tygrett is a “glass artist”, creating a myriad of hand-crafted delights from Murano glass, which she brings together in a range of unique jewellry, presented in her Venice Atelier, the Victoria & Albert Museum and now, through SGFA.
From 1996 to 2001, she worked Murano glass for Giorgio Nason's (her husband) jewellry collection. The collection has been sold at numerous stores and museums, including Barney's (NY), Joyce's (HK), the Chicago Art Institute, the Dahesh Museum (NY), Harvey Nichols (UK), Liberty's (UK) and the Guy Laroche Spring/Summer collection 2007. The Nason family has been working with glass in Murano since 1602, and in Venice since the 12th Century.
Tygrett has created designs for John Hardy (Bali), The Maeght Fondation (France) and the Victoria & Albert Museum (UK).
Her works incorporate handmade glass beads with other materials including: Italian metal mesh and silver, semi-precious stones, stainless steel hoops and silk cords.
We have a wonderful selection of Trina Tygrett's works at Gallery Residence, and we are happy to send images for selection. Please contact us.
